“We Come to Claim the Throne” celebrates the vibrant musical legacy of one of European history’s most tragic figures.

On Friday July 29th at 7pm at St. John’s in the Village, join soprano Michelle Trovato, mezzo-soprano Rebecca Sacks, and composer/pianist Felix Jarrar for “We Come to Claim the Throne.” This recital features music about or related to Mary Queen of Scots in a variety of different musical contexts. The program features the world premiere of Felix Jarrar’s song “Queen Mary’s Lament” and his song cycle Venetian Ceruse with text by lyricist/librettist Bea Goodwin. Music by Donizetti and Schumann will be performed alongside other works by Jarrar/Goodwin, among others. Tickets for this concert are $20!
