The works of Bedřich Smetana and Josef Suk will be featured in a musically revealing piano program that anticipates the upcoming Year of Czech Music 2024, when musicians will commemorate the 200th anniversary of Smetana’s birth and the 150th anniversary of Suk’s birth. The music of these two composers is infused with Czech folk songs and the atmosphere of the Czech landscape, making it a great pleasure for listeners to hear the talented young pianist Matyáš Novák share the joy of interpreting these typically Czech pieces.
