New York New Music Ensemble Presents: LIGHT AND MATTER

Join for an exciting event at the Milton Resnick and Pat Passlof Foundation. 2023 marked the passing of one of classical music’s brightest lights, Kaija Saariaho. NYNME’s opening concert this season pays tribute to her legacy with a program based around her forceful, elegiac piano trio: Light and Matter. Iranian born Nina Barzeger’s Inexorable Passage, Alvin Singleton’s meditation on a horrific incident of racism and Corey Dundee’s musical depiction of a Noam Chomsky text round out the program.
