Five ensembles from MAPC’s New York City Children’s Chorus program – totaling over 150 choristers – will present a concert exploring the geography of our world portrayed in music for children’s choirs. Repertoire will include Vaughan Williams’s Songs of Travel; Italian, German, French, and Russian art songs; as well as familiar songs of North America: O Shenando, Song for the Mira, My Old Kentucky Home, and Swannee River. The proceeds from the concert will benefit the NYCCC Tuition Aid Fund.
