Mannes Sounds Festival 2019: Centennial Celebration, at The New School (Site)

Since 1999, Mannes School of Music has presented a yearlong music festival every year. Each festival includes more than 20 events performed by the school’s gifted young student artists, distinguished faculty members, and renowned guests, at prestigious New York City concert venues and cultural institutions. The festivals are an outstanding component of the total Mannes program.

The College of Performing Arts celebrates the Centennial of The New School with presentations by students of Mannes (curated by Ursula Oppens), the School of Jazz and Contemporary Music and the School of Drama.

Aaron Copland: Sextet (for string quartet, piano and clarinet)

Mongo Santamaría’ Afro Blue (Robert Glasper Version)
Pippin Parker: Overheard at Schrafft’s, Pt. 1

Performed by actors from the School of Drama.
