For the first time in its 55 year history, the Leeds International Piano Competition is taking its First Round to the competitors. The First Round will be held in three cities around the world that are hubs for classical piano teaching and performance: Berlin, Singapore and New York City. Come join us in New York City at the DiMenna Center Mary Flagler Cary Hall to witness the top young pianists from around the world at their best. 17 pianists will be competing for the opportunity to advance to the next stage of the Competition to be held in Leeds 6-15 September.

Each competitor will present a solo piano programme featuring two or more contrasting works, one from the baroque or classical period and one from either the early or late romantic period and / or early 20th Century. Their performances will be judged by Co-Artistic Director Adam Gatehouse, Noriko Ogawa, Marna Seltzer, and Thomas Hübsch. Learn more about the jury here and click here to learn more about all the competitors.

Seats are first come first serve. Programmes and merchandise will be available for purchase at the event.
