Youngest ever to win the Windsor Festival International String Competition, Nathan Meltzer has played solo violin with the Philharmonia Orchestra, the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra, the Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, the Orquesta Filarmónica de Medellín, the Orquesta Sinfónica de Concepción, and the Adelphi, Bloomington, Charlotte Civic, Evansville, and Muncie symphonies, among others, performing in Argentina, Austria, Brazil, Canada, Chile, Colombia, Germany, Israel, Italy, the UK, and across the US.  In the 2018/19 season, Nathan plays in New York, London, Heidelberg, and Paris, including a series of concerts with the Orchestre national d’Île-de-France.

Nathan studies with Itzhak Perlman and Li Lin at Juilliard and has taken lessons and masterclasses with Joshua Bell, Pamela Frank, Vadim Gluzman, and Jaime Laredo.  He began his music education in a second-grade orchestra class in Vienna, later attending Meadowmount, the Indiana University String Academy, the Perlman Music Program, and Juilliard Pre-College.  Nathan joined Omega Ensemble in 2016 and has appeared with Gilles Apap, David Chan, Augustin Hadelich, the Jupiter Symphony Players, and the Piano Guys.

Nathan performs on the “Ames, Totenberg” Antonio Stradivari violin, Cremona 1734, which is on loan from Rare Violins In Consortium, Artists and Benefactors Collaborative.  He is under worldwide general management with Hazard Chase.
