Happi Medium is a dynamic collective ensemble composed of four accomplished musicians in the NYC music scene. The quartet includes Chaz Martineau, saxophone; Dabin Ryu, piano; Benjamin Young, bass; and Eliza Salem, drums. Each member brings their own unique style and perspective to the group, resulting in a sound that is greater than the sum of its parts. Individually, these musicians are no strangers to the stage, having performed at some of the most iconic venues in the city including Smalls Jazz Club, Mezzrow, The Jazz Gallery, Dizzy’s, and Ornithology. However, when they come together as Happi Medium, their performances are marked by an effortless chemistry and an intuitive understanding of each other’s musical voices. The result is a captivating blend of styles and influences that defies easy categorization.
