Forte International Music Competition is an annual event open to piano, strings, woodwinds, brass, and vocalists, ages 4-35. This year marks the 8th anniversary of the competition, which consists of several rounds that take place in December, culminating with the final round at Carnegie Hall. At the conclusion of the competition, participants receive feedback from judges consisting of university faculty members as well as noted musicians, and are recognized with prizes and special awards.
