Franz Schubert (1797-1828), whom Liszt called “the most poetic musician who ever lived”, wrote an incredible amount of beautiful, highly introspective music in his tragically short life. In this program, gifted pianist Audrey Vardanega presents selections from his Impromptus, as well as his last major work for piano, the magnificent Sonata in B-flat major, D.960.
