ALBERT MARQUES QUARTET

Catalan pianist Albert Marques currently resides in Brooklyn, where he’s been flourishing in the New York jazz scene after a successful stint in Paris. Marques plays contemporary piano with a distinctive urban feel, unique and profoundly percussive. This concert at Soapbox gallery is a unique opportunity to enjoy Marques’ inventive and rhythmic style with Madrid-based bass player Dario Guibert, Adam O’Farrill (winner of the “Rising Star: Trumpet” category in DownBeat’s 2019 International Critcs Poll) and Ari Hoenig, master drummer and rhythm scientist.
