Brilliant international soloist and chamber musician violinist Abigél Králik, returns to Fabbri Chamber Concerts for her own spotlight recital, joined by our host and Artistic Director, pianist Andrew Armstrong. Abigél Králik has been described by Mitteldeutscher Rundfunk Kultur as “a shooting star in the truest sense of the word.” Our Fabbri program will run the gamut from Edward Elgar’s ultra-Romantic and searingly personal Sonata for Violin and Piano to one of Béla Bartók’s most accessible and crowd-pleasing favorites, the Rhapsodie No. 1. We will top off the evening by observing the 100th birthday of Gershwin’s Rhapsody in Blue by performing the composer’s own arrangement for piano solo. Please note that our concerts will now begin one hour earlier, at 6pm, to make a post-concert drink or dinner possible for concertgoers. You won’t want to miss this one!
