Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center; Brahms Trio in B major for Piano, Violin, and Cello, Op. 8
Wednesday November 15, 6:30 pm - 8:00 pmFree
Ever critical and always a perfectionist, Brahms at the age of 55 took the opportunity to revise this piano trio, originally composed when he was 20 years old. What remains is the passion and energy of youth tempered by the wisdom and experience of age. But at both stages, the music was fully recognizable as Brahms.
