Augustus Arnone Performs Works of Michael Finnissy and J.S. Bach at Greenwich House Music School (Site)

$23.18On Saturday, December 21, 2024, @4:00PM, Augustus Arnone continues his traversal of Michael Finnissy’s complete “The History Of Photography In Sound” paired with J.S. Bach’s complete Well-Tempered Clavier, Book II, with the second in a series of 6 concerts.
This concert features Finnissy’s “North American Spirituals”(1998), as well as “Brahms Lieder” (2016), which is not from the “History Of Photography In Sound” cycle but was composed for Augustus Arnone, after the composer heard Arnone’s first traversal of the complete cycle in 2015-2016. The program also features 4 Preludes and Fugues from J.S. Bach’s Well-Tempered Clavier, Book II: D Major, D Minor, E Flat Major, D Sharp Minor.
The concert will be held at the Renee Weiler Recital Hall, at Greenwich House Music School, 46 Barrow St., New York City. Tickets are $20.
