Acclaimed pianist Inna Faliks celebrates her newly released Sono Luminus album, “Manuscripts Don’t Burn.” – which also happens to be the most iconic line of Bulgakov’s masterpiece, the Master and Margarita. Inna’s most personal CD yet features a program of premieres written for her by Clarice Assad, Maya Miro Johnson, Veronika Krausas, Mike Garson and Ljova. Themes range from her beloved novel by Bulgakov, the Master and Margarita, to her Ukrainian-Jewish heritage, her poetry-music series Music/Words, her home town of Odesa, and her newly published memoir, Weight in the Fingertips, A Musical Odyssey from Soviet Ukraine to the World Stage, this kaleidoscopic program also features music of Fanny Mendelssohn, Chopin, and readings from Inna’s book.
