Phil Kawin Memorial Event at Manhattan School of Music (Site)

Phillip Kawin has received critical acclaim for his performances in venues throughout the world—from Sydney’s Angel Place Recital Hall to Beijing’s Forbidden City Concert Hall. As recitalist and soloist with orchestra, he has performed throughout Australia, China, Korea, Italy, Russia, Spain and the U.S. Phillip Kawin has a recording contract with the Master Performers Label. His debut album featuring works of Beethoven, Schumann, Liszt and Prokofiev was launched at Steinway Hall in New York in 2008. Subsequently, a second version was reissued in 2011. Kawin’s all-Schubert solo CD recorded under the direction of producer Steven Epstein was released in 2015 and received with critical acclaim. Phillip Kawin’s DVD of the Beethoven Piano Concerto No.3 with the Russian National Orchestra was recorded under the baton of renowned conductor Gerard Schwarz. This film was directed by Paul Carasco in Moscow and released in 2019 on DVD/Blu-Ray for the Master Performers Label. An all-Beethoven CD was recently released in 2020. Phillip Kawin is due to resume recording the Beethoven Concerto cycle in 2021.
