The Boy Who Cried Wolf at the Pelham Bay Library (For Small Children) (Site)

Friday July 14, 2017, 3:00 pm

Free

A shepherd boy is SO BORED taking care of the sheep, until he gets an idea that “isn’t right, isn’t true, but I’m going to do it, anyway”. Using music, movement, and group storytelling techniques, children will sing songs, shake rhythm instruments, jump, hop, leap and creep as Miss Navida plays the piano. Then together we’ll tell the Aesop’s fable The Boy Who Cried Wolf, using gesture, dialogue, song and character work as participants play the shepherd, the sheep, the townspeople and of course the wolf. The children will make a Wolf Stick Puppet from a paper plate, tissue paper and wiggly eyes. Best for children ages 4 and older.

Presented by Miss Navida
