Magdalena Filipczak, Violin and Jessica Xylina Osborne, Piano, amid Paintings by Agata Surma at the Kosciuszko Foundation (Site)

$15 – $25One of the most outstanding Polish violinists of her generation, Magdalena Filipczak, winner of numerous international competitions and awards, partners with one of most sough-after collaborative pianists, Jessica Xylina Osborne, in a recital titled, “Inspired by Song and Dance.” The program will include works by Bacewicz, Britten, Debussy, Karłowicz, Piazzolla, Previn, Ravel, Szymanowski and Wieniawski, some from Filipczak’s “Essence of Violin” CD, praised by the STRAD Magazine as “glittering…beguiling…captivating…hauntingly atmospheric”, and her upcoming album. The recital will be combined with the opening reception for the exhibition of paintings by Agata Surma “ALCHEMICAL STATES.”
