In honor of Black History Month, Bloomingdale School of Music faculty member Judith Olson performs works by African-American composer Ed Bland (1926-2013). The piano works on the program are part of a 5-volume set entitled “Urban Counterpoint:” art music, using the language of gospel, soul, blues, jazz, and various film scores.
