Master Class with Hei-Kyung Hong, Voice

Korean-American soprano Hei-Kyung Hong is at the height of a career that has taken her to many of the world’s operatic capitals in an enormous variety of roles ranging from baroque to contemporary works. In three decades at the Met, she has sung more than 350 performances of 24 roles, including Micaëla in Carmen, the Countess and Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro, Violetta in La Traviata, Eva in Die Meistersinger von Nürnberg, Servilia in La Clemenza di Tito, Zerlina in Don Giovanni, Marzelline in Fidelio, Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, Antonia in Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Ilia in Idomeneo, Juliette in Roméo et Juliette, Gilda in Rigoletto, and Despina in Così fan tutte.
