Classical Thursdays, in its second year of life, is rapidly establishing as a stage for internationally acclaimed artists to perform and present their works to the Brooklyn community and beyond. A few highlights for the season will include members of the Metropolitan Opera Orchestra of New York performing in ensemble (Innovative Trio, March 8th and The Memling Ensemble, May 31th) and baritone Adam Richardson – Opera Philadelphia, Alte Oper Frankfurt and the Hamburgische Staatsoper (April 19th). The Series also sees the return of international pianists Francesca Khalifa (solo recital April 5th), Jose Lopez (solo recital May 3rd) and Marcus Baban (solo recital May 24th).March 1st Noel Simone Wippler’s Siren Symphonium Project Noël will perform music from classical composers Mozart, Bizet, Debussy, Thelonious Monk, Duke Ellington and many more. Noël Simoné Wippler is a Soprano, multi-instrumentalist, dancer , actor, songwriter born and raised in Harlem, New York City. Noel performs in genres from Blues to Soul, Jazz to Funk, Salsa to Opera, Hip Hop to Musical Theater, and from Hard Rock to Gospel! Her original music can be heard from her guitar or piano to a full live band.Noel is a recent graduate of Nyack College NYC Campus on full scholarship studying Vocal Performance in Classical voice with Dr. Dana Talley, BM In May 2017. Noel’s theater works include lead in “In The Heights” with an off-Broadway Nyack College production. Noel’s theater works include performing as lead “ANITA” in Nyack College’s 2-week December 2016 production of Leonard Bernstein’s West Side Story at off-Broadway American Theater of Actors in New York City.
