Brahms Encounters at Bruno Walter Auditorium (Site)

Saturday May 6, 2017, 2:30 pm

Free

New York Classical Players continue their series of engaging concerts inspired  by the Library’s collection of Johannes Brahms manuscripts. See Brahms’ hand-written Variations on a Theme by Paganini, then hear the work performed, along with the virtuosic violin solo  that inspired Brahms’ composition.  Join in a mid-concert conversation  with the performers, before hearing Brahms’ chamber music masterwork,  the Piano Quartet No. 3 in C Minor.

The Library for the Performing Arts is proud to offer free admission to this program on a first come, first served basis. Admission lines form one hour prior to each program.  At that time one ticket is provided per person. Tickets are not available for advance reservation and saving seats is not permitted. General admission seating. Call 212.642.0142 for more detailed information. All programs are subject to last minute change or cancellation.
