Kristian Bezuidenhout, Fortepiano, at Carnegie Hall (Site)

Tuesday March 31, 2020, 7:30 pm - 9:30 pm

Performer
Kristian Bezuidenhout, Fortepiano

Experience Beethoven’s piano music as he would have—on a fortepiano. Kristian Bezuidenhout, praised for his “bold, sensitive playing” (The Guardian) and called “… the most brilliant of today’s fortepiano players” (The Times, London) performs sonatas from Beethoven’s early and middle period, as well as a taut set of variations. Each variation in the remarkable 32 based on an original theme requires both technical mastery as well as great depth of expression from the performer.
